Is Chiropractic for Me?

Chiropractic care has proven to be a safe, natural path to good health for millions of people. We strive to give our patients the very best chiropractic care available. We work hard to offer the most up-to-date chiropractic services. We want you to walk out of each appointment feeling better than when you walked in. It is always our goal to improve your life through our specialized and individualized Chiropractic care which is beneficial to people of all ages.

People see their chiropractor for many different reasons.  To some, chiropractic is used as a means of relieving pain and discomfort due to a "strain" or injury.  This may include musculo-skeletal problems of the back and neck, in addition to problems with various areas of the body such as feet, arm, shoulder, leg, hip, joint, nerve and muscle pain or discomfort.

Others use chiropractic as a natural approach of healing from disease or conditions including headaches, fatigue, high blood pressure, PMS, arthritis, asthma, sinus trouble, digestive problems, nervous stress, emotional disorders, bed-wetting, colic, carpal tunnel, and ear, eye, nose and throat problems without the use of drugs or surgery.

Others use chiropractic as a method of keeping their health at its peak; for better sports performance, higher resistance to disease, clearer thinking, a more comfortable pregnancy and more energy and an overall feeling of wellness.

Your First Visit

On your first visit, you will be asked to complete a brief questionnaire, in addition to a case history. The doctor will then have an opportunity to confer with you to gather pertinent information. A thorough examination will reveal the precise areas of concern and determine if you can benefit from chiropractic care.

Your Treatment Plan

After your initial examination, the doctor will determine what area needs attention and focus his adjustment to a specific site, typically along your spine.

The adjustment is given with a quick precision maneuver to realign the segments which were found to be "subluxated" or out of position. This procedure is generally rather quick and painless.

The results may sometimes be noticed immediately following the adjustment. Some experience a "lightness" or feeling of euphoria. These feelings demonstrate the nerve paths, or channels being opened up so that the nerve impulses may once again travel without interference.

The chiropractic "adjustment" may be combined with other therapies if necessary.  This therapy may include: EMS (electric muscle stimulation), ultrasound, heat, massage or intersegmental traction.
